| Red Eye Relay | Indiana University Outdoor Track | Running | jmcclaine |
| The Red Eye is an all-night relay running event that starts and finishes on the Indiana University Outdoor Track Stadium. You choose your team size (2-7 runners) to complete the 100 mile course. Start when you decide on Saturday afternoon in order to finish Sunday morning between 6:00 and 9:00 am. What happens in-between is anyone’s guess but be sure there will be heat, hills and humidity in southern Indiana in July. Can you do it all night? | Bi-weekly, three- to four-mile noncompetitive trail run/walk/amble across the worst terrain imaginable in and around Monroe County. A ceremony follows the end of every trail, including songs, rituals, other silliness. Over 21s only, please: adult beverages available before, during and after trail (it's not called the "drinking club with a running problem" for nothing). All fitness levels invited--we have all paces represented, from walkers to ultramarathoners. Trail starts at 4 p.m., ends ~ 6 p.m.(?). For more information on the Blooming Fools, visit www.bfh3.com or email jbranigin@gmail.com. | |||

| The 2010 Wellness Challenge of Bloomington is a team-based initiative aimed at improving the wellness of the Bloomington community through an abundance of unique activities, seminars, and screenings. By creating “healthy” competition among teams, we will encourage participants to improve their overall health as well as increase camaraderie in our community. This challenge is for everyone, no matter their fitness profile. The Wellness Challenge of Bloomington is a collaboration between the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department and Bloomington Hospital Community Health. Community partnerships will ensure this initiative engages the entire Bloomington community. Churches, schools, neighborhoods/families/friends, and area businesses will be encouraged to form teams and participate. The Wellness Challenge of Bloomington will run from June 1 through August 24. Monthly events will provide a holistic approach to health and wellness. The Wellness Challenge of Bloomington provides a framework and support for individuals to evaluate their health needs, create goals to carry through the challenge, and a structure to build a competitive atmosphere.
