Profession: Adult ministry director at Grace Church in Mooresville and a fitness instructor.

Best lifestyle change in last five years: Adding regular weight-lifting

Health-fitness advice: Don’t diet—eat sensibly. Vary your exercise routine. Don’t do things two days in a row.

How do you stay motivated: I’m just a driven person. I love to exercise and help people in class.

Tools of the trade: Jump ropes, weights, exercise bar.

What inspires you: Feeling good, having lots of energy throughout the day.
