One of the area's most widely anticipated recreation events, the Hilly Hundred, is still more than three months away. But the Hilly is not the kind of event you can decide to participate in the week before it occurs. So this month, we offer a rundown on the October ride, along with some training tips that will help get you ready if you want to join the fun.

If you're more into walking, you might consider going to one of the area's state parks to get some exercise in the great outdoors. Our story features Spring Mill and McCormick's Creek for their extensive trails, but you can find places to hike in any of Indiana's parks.
