BASE HIT
Great piece (“Eye on the Ball,” September issue), but with one huge omission. Ken McCollum has played softball in Bloomington since 1967. He is now 68, plays “Competitive C” with Hagemeyer and Co. and Senior Softball with the Columbus Silver Sticks, a 65+ team, since 1986. He has numerous Tournament Championship Rings, Most Valuable Player Plaques, and has been named “All American” several times and “All World” once. Even at 68 years, he can still drive the ball to the fence.
